As this system continues to track east out of the Rockies, we expect snowfall to begin around the Kansas City area around 10:00pm CST, with the heaviest batches impacting Tuesday as to continue throughout Tuesday evening. With STRONG Northwesterly winds pushing at 20-40MPH, hazardous and near blizzard like conditions are expected. Especially in open areas.

In terms of measurable snow, this still appears to be a fairly significant event with areas in Northern Kansas and Southern Nebraska expecting 10"+ of the white stuff . The National Weather Service in  has picked up on this as well, issuing MANY Winter Storm Warnings across the states of Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska including cities such as Manhattan, Topeka, Lawrence, Kansas City, St. Joesph,  Lincoln, and Omaha!! I would expect for more of Northeastern  Missouri and parts of Iowa to follow suite as this progresses.

We will be streaming live video on through Tuesday night so stay tuned to http://SevereStudiosKC.com/LiveChaseCams.aspx .
